Maria Kagle is a Pittsburgh native with a passion for both science and service. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Maria graduated from Carlow University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. During her time at Carlow, she balanced her academic pursuits with a love for athletics, playing for both the Softball and Golf teams.
After graduation, Maria's drive and ambition took her down an exciting path of homeownership. She purchased her first home in 2022—a fixer-upper dating back to 1846 in Export, PA. Over the course of the past two years, she has worked tirelessly to renovate and restore the historic property. This experience has taught her invaluable lessons about the home buying process, property ownership, and DIY renovations. With her husband, a professional in construction, by her side, Maria has developed a hands-on understanding of how to transform a home and navigate the challenges of owning an older property. Along the way, she also gained knowledge about zoning regulations, as she envisions starting her own hobby farm in the future.
In 2024, Maria took another significant step in her career by completing real estate school and joining the real estate business. Though new to the field, she is supported by a team of seasoned professionals, with over 30 years of experience, guiding her as she assists clients in buying and selling homes. Maria's firsthand knowledge of the homeownership process and renovations, combined with her commitment to providing excellent customer service, makes her a strong asset to those looking to buy or sell property.
Alongside her career in real estate, Maria also works as a Research Coordinator at the Hillman Cancer Center, where she helps to connect blood cancer patients with clinical trials. This role reflects her ongoing dedication to improving lives through science and healthcare, further highlighting her versatility and commitment to making a difference in both the medical and real estate fields.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Maria is an avid golfer, a travel enthusiast, and a lover of cooking and baking. She enjoys spending quality time with her two beloved dogs—Ruby, a Chinese Shar-Pei, and Bentley, a Pitt-Lab mix. Maria's ability to balance her many interests and passions is a testament to her dynamic personality and work ethic.
