When my in-laws’ health started to decline and they made the decision to move into an assisted living facility, I took on the task of renovating their home to ensure that they got the best price for their house. The job – getting the 1,200 square foot ranch, that they had owned for 44 years ready for the market –wasn’t my day job.  For more than 17 years, I’ve worked closely with exotic animals as a zookeeper at various zoos including the Pittsburgh Zoo. You may have spotted me bathing an African elephant or feeding one of our giraffes. But I grew up surrounded by family who worked on and sold real estate. It felt natural. And the experience started me down the path of my second career. I’ve since renovated and sold two more homes, got my real estate license, and decided that, while I still love working with animals, working in real estate gives me the opportunity to spend more time with my wonderful husband and beautiful daughter.

I know that buying and selling a home can be a very emotional and stressful time.  Moving after 44 years of living in the same house, my in-laws experienced a lot of emotions, which I witnessed firsthand.  When my husband and I purchased our first home, we, too, felt scared and unsure about making such a large purchase.  My job is to help you through that process and all the paperwork that comes with it. With the expertise I bring, I will also help you plan the best strategy to stage, price and market your property. And I’ll be at your side offering my experience as we negotiate for the price you want. Whether you are looking for your first home, downsizing, moving up, or buying your first investment property, I hope that you will consider me for any of your real estate needs.
