Being a first time home buyer or buying a home in general obviously brings a certain level of stress as well as a time commitment. I was fortunate enough to be paired up with Andrew. For me, I am a first time home buyer and Andrew made the process seamless. My wife and I sold our old house on our own, so we figured we'd be able to buy a new house without any help. However, the home buying process proved to be harder than we anticipated. We looked at hundreds of houses online and visited 39 houses by calling the listing agent for each house. So we effectively "interviewed" dozens of real estate agents. Unfortunately, most of them were unhelpful at best.We even considered new construction and met with a builder, but ultimately decided that wasn't the best option for us. At that point, we knew we needed help. We reviewed the list of the dozens of agents we had met over the past several months and called the one that stood out as the most ethical - Andrew Belonzi. Within a week after contacting Andrew, we negotiated an offer on a house, well below the asking (and appraised) price. About six weeks later, in spite of challenges with the listing agent (who was seemingly too busy with other houses/clients), we closed on our dream house. We still can't believe the deal we got, thanks to Andrew.To anyone who thinks they can buy a house on their own - it's not worth the hassle. You're not paying the 6% commission when you buy a house, so get an agent. We were impressed with many of the agents at Northwood, but I would recommend you start by calling Andrew. He was available for us - unlike some other agents that overcommit and get stretched too thin.
